The following menu lists the enhanced features you can choose from when you open a CALLBACK account with FiberTel.  All features come with you account free of charge upon request:

Glossary:

"Personal Number" means the unique phone number assigned to you by FiberTel that you call to trigger the "callback" to your Callback Number.

"Callback Number" means the phone number you have instructed us to enter in our callback system so that when you call your Personal Number and hang-up, our system will Callback your "Callback Number" and when you pick up the phone you will hear a dial tone.

  • SPEED DIAL: Your account can be programmed with up to 99 "speed dial" phone numbers. Here’s how it works. After receiving the callback, simply enter the code for the number to be "speed dialed". For example, by entering "#1" the system would speed dial the number corresponding to that code. FiberTel must enter these phone numbers into the system for you. If you choose this feature, when returning your service agreement include a list of the phone numbers, up to 99 numbers, you want programmed for "speed dialing". And feel free to contact us anytime if you want to add to or change those phone numbers.
  • FAST CALLBACK: Significantly decreases callback time, and saves you money, by starting the callback process before you hang up. However, if this feature is selected you will not be able to use "Roaming Callback".
  • ROAMING CALLBACK: The roaming feature enables you to change your Callback Number. First you call your Personal Number, but instead of hanging up and waiting for the callback as you normally do, let the call ring, approximately six rings, and listen to and follow the voice prompts regarding changing your Callback Number. This allows you to change your Callback Number so that, for example, you can use Callback when traveling. (Note: This feature is not available if a customer chooses our "Fast Callback" feature.)
  • VOICE MESSAGE: This option enables you to record a message to be played when the Callback call connects. For example, if you are staying in a hotel you need to get the Callback call, which will go to the main hotel switchboard, through to your room. Here’s how. Call your Personal Number but instead of hanging up and waiting for the callback as you normally do, let the call ring, approximately six rings, and listen to and follow the voice prompts to instruct the system, on the Callback, to give a name and extension number announcement.
Assume you are staying in Room 210 of your hotel. The prompts will ask you to record a message to be  played back, in this case "Room 210 please.", so that when the hotel switchboard   receives the "callback" they will here "Room 210 please" and pass the call to your room. Once this information has been  entered you can begin using your callback service from your hotel, temporary office etc. (Please note that you will also have to change your Callback Number to the number of the hotel, temporary office etc. See "Roaming Callback" above).
  • LANGUAGES: Unless otherwise requested, FiberTel Inc. provides English language prompts to lead customers through the options for their International Callback account. For customer convenience, we also offer Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese prompts. Each account will be individually assigned the language of choice.
  • PIN: To provide a greater degree of security, a Personal Identification Number ("PIN") can be issued to you when you are assigned your Personal Number. If you choose this option, on the Callback the system will prompt you to enter your PIN. The correct PIN must be entered before the system will give a dial tone. You may choose your own four digit PIN to fit your personal needs.
  • CASCADING CALLBACK: This feature allows you to receive a Callback at any one of multiple locations. The system attempts to reach you, in sequence, at up to five numbers. It first tries the main Callback Number and then will continue trying the other Callback Numbers you have entered in sequence until answered. Once the Callback is answered, or all five numbers have been tried without success, the progression ends.
  • PBX EXTENSION: Your account can be programmed to dial your extension number after reaching the Callback Number. This enables a person at a particular extension number to make use of Callback.
  • MINUTES AVAILABLE: Announces the number of minutes available in your account for the call you are on,

OR

  • DOLLARS AVAILABLE: Announces the amount of money remaining in your account.
  • IMMEDIATE DISCONNECT: You can terminate the call session quickly by pressing the "pound key" (i.e. the "#" key) twice. This assures an immediate disconnect.
  • WRONG NUMBER CORRECTION: If you misdial, just press the star key once (i.e. the "*" key) and then restart the dialing process.
  • QUICK END TO DIALING SEQUENCE: You can speed up the dialing process after the account number has been entered by pressing the "pound key" (i.e. the "#"key) once.
  • MULTIPLE CALLS: You can place another call without hanging up the phone by pressing the star key (i.e. the "*" key) twice. This will disconnect the last call and give you dial tone immediately so you can place another call.
